Indiana University Libraries Moving Image Archive will be filling many positions in the next few months to support a three-year mass film digitization project.
Some of the new positions are posted now and can be found in full description at the links below:
· Assistant Film Archivist (two positions)
· Quality Control Specialist (three positions)
You can search for the positions here, https://jobs.iu.edu/ (search for “film”)
IU pay scales can be found here, http://www.indiana.edu/~uhrs/salary/pa-ranges-201617.html
Please note that while we are interviewing for all seven positions now we will be filling five of these positions immediately and adding the additional two QC Specialists as the project gets up and running in the summer/ fall. Additionally, we will be adding two full time catalogers and a team of part-time copyright researcher assistants later in the project.
Also, please note that the head management position overseeing film preparation and digitization carried out by the vendor (Memnon) is still open. This is listed as the “Motion Picture Film Subject Matter Expert.” That position description and instructions as to how to apply can be found here, https://avarchivingjobs.wordpress.com/2017/03/16/motion-picture-film-subject-matter-expert-memnon/
While applications will be reviewed as received, final cut off will be Thursday, May 11th, with interviews to follow shortly after.
